Today I got up early and headed out to catch some live shrimp. By the time I arrived at my spot where I been catching some shrimp the day was just starting out of the east. If you have never been on the water for the breaking light of the day you should give it a try. My Grandfather use to say that anybody who doesn’t believe there is a God, all they have to do is wake up early one morning and get on the water some kind of way and it will change there life forever. Well today was a fantastic day on the water for me catching live shrimp. I was out there for about two hours and my day holding tank was full. I would say I must have caught some where around ten thousand live shrimp today. I have a few fishing charters coming up this week and everybody seems to be buying live shrimp from me lately. Well if it works why use anything else. Had a bunch of boats go out today and so far everybody who has come in has caught boxes of beautiful speckled trout. Again this is the time of the year if you want to experience speckled trout fishing at it’s best. You don’t have to go far and the trout are beautiful. The weather is great right now however there is a cool front coming Saturday night. That should mess things up for at least two days and the bite should turn back on some time at the beginning of next week. This cycle will repeat it self as the rest of the year goes buy. You always want to fish from about two the three days after a cool front all the way up to the next cool front hits. The closer you get to the next cool front the better the bite is.
