Wow what about some great speckled trout fishing going on right now. I has a trip today with some guys out of Baton Rouge Louisiana and we had a ball. Started off this morning with a daylight departure from the log cabins at safe light and headed south towards Barataria Bay where we been catching some nice trout. Even through we had a low pressure move through last night and the wind was about ten to fifteen out of the north we still had a great morning catching some beautiful speckled trout. We landed the power pols down this morning at the first spot at around six forty five along the north side of Barataria Bay where we been catching some nice trout and boy did we hit is right this morning because it was not stop with beautiful trout. I mean it was as fast as you could through the line. They were hungry and were in a full feeding frenzy. We caught a box of trout in about ninety minuets along with two bull reds to cap the trip off. What made this mornings trip easy was that all fore of the guys on the boat new how to fish and they were very organized. In fact is was everything I could do just to keep up with the trout coming over the side of the boat and keeping the live shrimp buckets supplied with live shrimp. We don’t always hit them like that but when you have experience anglers on the boat and you do it just simply makes for a easy day for the guide. When we pulled up back at the village they were nice enough to help me clean the full box of speckled trout we had. I can’t tell you how much that helps me with all the post responsibilities I have after a fishing trip. Thanks again guys and I do look forward to our next trip.
