Looking for a log cabin on the water, look no more. We have 4 very nice log cabins located in a 200 year old fishing village called Lake Hermitage. We are located thirty five miles south of New Orleans and north of Venice about 60 miles. We call it one of the best kept speckled trout and red fish fishing secrets of plaquemines parish. We pick our clients up right in front of the log cabins and in less than a half of a hour we are in the strike zone for speckled trout and red fish. That’s right just a short ride through the marsh and a fifteen minuet ride across Barataria Bay we are on the oyster reefs right on the inside of the barrier islands. Our captains fish from as far west as Grand Isle and as far east as Empire.
Our log cabins come equipped with all the amenities of home. They have a full kitchen, central air and heat direct TV as well as swings, picnic tables and barbecue pits under each cabin. Great for the family as your kids will have plenty to do on the bayou, such as swimming, crabbing, throwing the cast net for live shrimp, not to mention the good fishing we have right in front of your cabin. We offer small boat rentals for the family man that doesn’t have a boat. Our shallow lake hermitage or one of the many pipe line canals are full of red fish and speckled trout not to mention some of the broken marsh and duck ponds with in a mile from the log cabins. As for the corporate client that wants to entertain some customers we have licenses captains ready to take you on a speckled trout and red fish charter of a life time.
