Speckled trout fishing during April south of New Orleans Louisiana is as good as it gets. Thirty five miles south of New Orleans Louisiana five miles off the black top we have four log cabins nested right in the middle of a two hundred year old fishing village. There is about one hundred and twenty five camps along side of bayou hermitage. Hermitage bayou feeds a five mile area lake we call Lake Hermitage. It is about a twenty five minuet ride to the gulf from the village. When you stay here at bayou log cabins you will be staying right on bayou hermitage in one of our all inclusive log cabins with a the amenities of home. Each log cabin comes with a full kitchen, a queen size bed in the bed room, full size bed in the living room, central air & heat, direct TV with over five hundred channels, down stairs under each cabin we have swings, picnic tables and BB pits. There is a concrete patio that extends out over the bayou in front of each cabin. The old  camps on the bayou will give you the full effect of being in a Louisiana fishing village. We pick up our clients right in front of the cabins and head south through the marsh and on across Barataria Bay for about a twenty five minuet. Once we arrive on the south side of Barataria Bay we will ease up on one of the hidden oyster reefs right on the inside of the barrier islands for some non stop speckled trout action. You will be fishing with live shrimp using the best shamano rod & reels money can buy. Our captains are trained to focus on every detail of each angler on the boat, in regards to who can fish and who might need a little help. Sometimes we entertain folks who know how to fish and sometimes we get folks on the boat that has not fished much and might need a little help. All of our captains enjoy helping everybody on each trip. At the end of the day if we can say we taught someone how to throw a line or set a hook when the cork goes down or maybe even how to land a nice two pound speckled trout in the boat with out using the net, that is what makes our day. You see catching speckled trout is what people book fishing trips with us far, but while on a trip with us it is our mission to bring you to the next level in terms of knowing how to fish and why we do certain things that sets us apart from most charters. Remember the old saying give a man a fish and you fed him for the day, however teach a man how to fish and you fed him for a life time. It is all about building memories with your family and friends or maybe you will be entertain your customers, whoever you are enjoying the day with we will take lots of photo’s for you to show folks when you get home.
