I had the pleasure of fishing with Walter and Jim today from Houston Texas. I picked them up from the log cabins at safe light and headed south to the barrier islands. We arrived at the first spot and set up on a oyster reef with the sun coming out of the marsh from our back side so we didn’t have to look into the sun while fishing. Well than Walter and Jim went to work catching speckled trout and bull reds for the rest of the morning. The speckle trout bite was on all plastic using a quarter oz jig head. The bull reds were caught on live shrimp. The water was so clear you could see the reef we was fishing on in about three feet of water. It was so beautiful seeing those speckle trout coming to the boat three feet under the water twenty feet from the boat. It was so clean it look like we were fishing is a fresh water lake some where up north. The wind was three to five out of the northeast and not a cloud in the sky. Walter and Jim had a fantastic time on the water catching both the speckled trout and the bull reds and we made it back to the cabins around eleven thirty in the morning. I drooped them off by the log cabins so they could get cleaned up for the ride back home while I cleaned, bagged and ice down there fish. I would say the day on the water with Walter and Jim was a perfect day fishing and look forward to our next charter.
